Hughie pictured flying over the famous Cottesmore’s Leap at Defender Burghley Horse Trials!

We head to @equitanaaustralia tomorrow and have an exciting few days ahead.

Hughie and I will be making an appearance in the Off The Track Showcase on Saturday afternoon (1.15pm - 2.45pm).
I’ll also be at the Off The Track stand (located in the OTT Pavillion) on Friday morning at 10am, so if you’re at Equitana make sure to come by and say hi!

Tango (Tulara Baltango) is competing in the Express Eventing tomorrow morning, and then I’ll be riding in the Tim Price Masterclass each day too. We are looking forward to a fun few days!

Farrier News…🐎 Read to the bottom if you are in need of a (very good) farrier!

@balance_hoof_care pads pictured in action! These pads are incredibly durable. This is a reset, on a horse that is undergoing rehab for a tendon injury.

The 3 degree wedge on these pads improves the angles of the hoof, helping to relieve the strain on the tendon and optimise healing.

Andy is taking new clients on set days at Bluebell Equine Park. This is a rare opening for new clients, provided you are happy to travel to us. I may be biased but I don’t think you could get a better farrier 😉

We had a successful weekend eventing with Tulara B

We had a successful weekend eventing with Tulara Baltango taking the win in the CIC 3*** class at Albury Horse Trials.

It was very quiet with just the one horse competing! I am on the lookout for a talented youngster to produce (5-7 years old and competing appropriately to its age) so if you have a horse you think could suit, let me know!

So happy to hear that this champ has landed safely

So happy to hear that this champ has landed safely in Australia! He sure is pretty well travelled now having been in five different countries this year! He spends the next two weeks in quarantine and then can finally join us at home for a well deserved holiday. We can’t wait to see him!

In the meantime we headed to our first event back in Aus on the weekend at Shirley Heights. I rode Tulara Baltango in the three star, and he was great in all three phases, with a planned slow run in the cross country to pick up 5th. It is lovely to be reunited with him!
He had a fabulous time campaigning with @jeffree_eventing while I was away. A huge thanks to Sam for having him ready for me to hop back on!

A little Basil glow up from four years ago to now

A little Basil glow up from four years ago to now because…

We have made it back home to Australia but had to make the really tough decision to leave this little legend, Seattle Park (Basil) behind.

I have loved producing him from Off The Track to 4 star eventer over the last four years. He really is the sweetest horse with a big heart.

His new home is in the Netherlands with a lovely four star rider. Whilst I’m very sad to part with him myself, I’m looking forward to following his future success in the sport.

Hughie is currently in quarantine in England and will fly back to Australia soon.

It was an amazing cross country day at Defender Burghley Horse Trials and Hughie was incredibly brave.
I’m gutted to have had a frangible pin, but equally know I should be happy to have jumped around Burghley 5 star and crossed the finish line!

Dressage is complete at Burghley HT!
I am thrilled with Hughie who kept it all together for a PB at 5 star level and our best test yet.

We are scheduled to go cross country at 2.06pm tomorrow (11.06pm AEST)
The course looks amazing and tough - it will definitely be our biggest challenge yet!

Competition Groom Needed: We will be home from the

Competition Groom Needed:
We will be home from the UK in a couple of weeks and are looking for a groom.
This is a full-time, live-in position, suitable for an experienced competition groom.
The role will include grooming at competitions and at home. The successful applicant must be able to turn a horse out to a high standard, feel confident handling young horses and stallions, and be able to work independently.
This is not a riding position, however there may be the opportunity to do some hacking/fitness work.
The successful applicant must be prepared to work 5-6 days per week on a roster system, including work on many weekends as per our competition schedule.
Located Mansfield, Victoria - Annual salary package

Today marks the end of our Paris 2024 campaign - W

Today marks the end of our Paris 2024 campaign - What a journey - we made it further than I ever imagined, spending the night 15 minutes from the Paris Olympic venue ready to go as reserves before trot up.
It’s been an amazing experience to get this close, and I’m wishing the Aussie team Shane, Chris, Kevin and Shenae the best of luck for the next few days! 🇦🇺

A huge thank you to everyone from home who has supported us on this journey. The biggest of all to Andrew Hill who is literally Superman and so incredibly supportive - husband, father, groom(!), farrier, and generally just the best guy around!

Also to the Australian Equestrian Team for all the support, and for welcoming little Oliver into the team too!

Onwards to Burghley!
